I started working on this project in November 1995 and officially launched it in July 1996 under the title The Unofficial In-Depth Analysis of Blade Runner. My goal was to build a space where fans from around the globe could publish essays and analytical papers to dive deeper into the film.

After starting out on GeoCities, we rebranded to Blade Runner Insight and secured br-insight.com in 1999. By May 2002, with the help of Slovakian Blade Runner fan Radomir Balint, I launched one of the internet's very first dedicated Blade Runner discussion boards using phpBB. The forum was active for years, but a series of online attacks eventually took it down permanently, and we were unable to recover it from backups.

Over the decades, the site has moved through many homes—from GeoCities and private servers to AWS, and now Cloudflare. Scroll down to check out screenshots from past versions of the site!
